Training Info
What do I bring to training?
Your swimming costume, a towel, a waterbottle, your cap and goggles.
What should I expect?
Swimming
Our swim trainings have a warmup, a main set, and a cool down. Our morning trainings are open to everyone but are catered more towards our competitive swimmers as we only have one lane. Our Wednesday and Sunday trainings are open to all members with our captains focusing on both our competitive and social swimmers..
In addition, we use kit including pull buoys, paddles, fins and kickboards on Wednesday and Sunday when we have the whole pool. So do bring yours along if you have, we do also have buoys and kickboards.
Water Polo
Our trainings are mixed sessions between both our women's and men's water polo teams. In our sessions we practice fitness, drives/tactics, and gameplay. Whilst each team practices in a competitive space, the training sessions are both constructive and fun.
Unfortunately, we do not offer swimming lessons for beginners. There is an expectation that all joining members know how to swim and can swim with ease. If you are looking for swimming lessons, the SpAH offers for both adults and children.
